Book sale raises cash for LOROS
The team at Leicester Specsavers held a second-hand book in October in and raised £110 for LOROS Hospice.
Staff at the Specsavers store on Belgrave Gate donated books to be sold in aid of the charity which provides free, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients.
Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS Hospice, said: ‘We really appreciate this fundraising effort by Specsavers in Leicester. We care for 2,500 patients every year across Leicestershire and Rutland, and it costs us £7.5 million annually to deliver our services to those in need.
Stephen Bell, store director at Specsavers, said: ‘LOROS Hospice is an incredible charity that is a rock of support for many people in the area. We’d like to thank all those who donated.
