For the third year running, Burton-on-Trent Specsavers is collecting unwanted school uniform items to help the LoveInspire Foundation, which supports local families in need.
The team at Specsavers on the High Street is asking for donations of items including skirts, shirts, jumpers and trousers that will then be given to local people who might otherwise struggle to afford them. The collection will run until the end of August and clothing can be dropped off in store.
‘Now that the school year is almost over, it’s the perfect time to sort through any unwanted items that can be re-used by those who need them most,’ says dispensing supervisor, Sam Wheeler. ‘This is the third year that’s we’ve run this appeal, and the community has always been very generous. We hope we have as much success this year and urge everyone to donate something if they can.’
