Optician in Idle supports School Attendance Award

A local optician has rewarded Daniel Bennett an award for his 100% school attendance record.
A local optician has rewarded Daniel Bennett an award for his 100% school attendance record.

Specsavers in Idle has rewarded Daniel Bennett, a year three pupil from Thorpe Primary School, Bradford, for his 100% attendance record with £30 Toys R Us vouchers.

Partnership with Thorpe Primary School
Specsavers has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Thorpe Primary School on Albion Road since 2014 and is the proud sponsor of the schools Attendance Award Scheme. For the school term between September and December 2015, eight year old Daniel scooped the acclaimed award and was gifted with the vouchers to spend.

A word from the Store Director
Bhrat Phakey, store director at Specsavers in Idle, comments: ‘All children benefit from attending school regularly and we at Specsavers want to encourage pupils to develop any talents or skills they may have as well as learning essential skills such as reading and writing. The sponsorship has been structured to reward pupils of Thorpe Primary School for their achievements whilst helping them stay motivated’.

Each year pupils from Thorpe Primary School are invited to the Specsavers store where the team educate them on eye health and the importance of regular eye checks. The team have also and will continue to run regular competitions with the pupils.
