Nimish Desai from Specsavers Banbury has raised more than £2,000 for Katherine House Hospice after running the Oxford Half Marathon.

In what was store director and optician Nimish’s first half marathon, he completed the 13.1 miles course in 1 hour 48 minutes.

‘It was a great day and I’m really pleased with my time,’ said Nimish. ‘The weather was ideal for running and the supporter along the route was great which was a huge help. It was certainly tough but all the training I’d put in seemed to pay off. I’d like to say a very big thank you to everyone that has supported me and helped raise such a huge amount for Katherine House.’

Katherine House Hospice provides palliative care to improve the lives of those with life threatening illnesses and is a cause the store has supported for a number of years.

You can still sponsor Nimish by visiting his fundraising page or by coming into the store.
