Optical staff eye up the gift of giving
Staff at Specsavers Dudley are getting into the festive spirit by offering free eye examinations throughout December for those who bring in chocolate donations for local children in need.
The team is asking those who need an eye examination to bring in a Christmas selection box rather than pay for their sight test. All collected boxes will then be given to the children’s ward at Russell’s Hall Hospital along with local children’s homes. The appeal will run until 24 December 2015.
Paul Cross, store director, said: ‘It’s great to give something back at Christmas and this initiative does just that for both us and our customers. We’re hoping that plenty of people will take us up on the offer, helping us to ensure that we can bring some joy to children in hospital or care this Christmas.’
