The team at Specsavers Kenilworth enjoyed a visit from a local nursery group, helping the children to learn about the importance of eyecare.

Visual learning

The store welcomed eight youngsters from Castle Nursery, who care for pre-school children up to the age of five.

Store director, Ambreena Ahsan, commented: ‘It’s important to remember that at such a young age, children learn so much through their vision. We wanted to teach the group what happens during a visit to the opticians and show them that it’s not a daunting experience!’

The group were welcomed by optician, Stephanie Marlow, who gave the children a tour of the store and demonstrated what happens during an eye test. Store manager, Ray Bhatti, was also on hand during the visit, giving each of the young visitors a goody bag to remember their visit.

‘We were delighted to welcome the children into the store,’ Ambreena added: ‘It is always a pleasure to receive a visit from the Castle Nursery and we look forward to many more in the future.’
