A member of staff from Specsavers in Uttoxeter is putting one foot forward for charity by taking part in a 20-mile walk through the Derbyshire countryside.
Sarah Carr, optical assistant at the store is taking part in Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Ribbon Walk on 15 June. The tailor-made route includes parts of the Chatsworth Estate and will take between five and eight hours to complete.
A great cause
‘I can’t wait to pull on my walking boots and show support for Breast Cancer Care,’ said Sarah. ‘I have opted to walk the longest route of 20 miles in the hope that I will raise more money by pushing myself to the limit. I am collecting donations and sponsorship in-store at Specsavers and would be grateful of any help the local community can offer. Breast cancer has affected many people’s lives, so this is a really worthy cause.’
