Customer first award
Specsavers co-founder Dame Mary Perkins and dispensing optician and director Chris Goldsbrough present Kirsty Evans with her Customer First Award

Optical clinical assistant Kirsty Evans has won a customer services award after rolling up her sleeves to help in store on her day off.

Kirsty has scooped a Customer First Award – awarded by Specsavers to recognise and reward team members who go above and beyond to serve customers and exceed their expectations.

A helping hand

On one occasion, she popped into the store on a busy Saturday with her partner who needed to choose some glasses.

'It was a Saturday and I could see it was a really busy day, so I just rolled my sleeves up and got stuck in helping with dispensing and delivering some training and before I knew it a couple of hours had passed.'

Dedication

Store partner Dominic Burchett recommended Kirsty for the award in acknowledgement of her dedication to customer service.

‘Kirsty is a bubbly, vibrant and very positive personality who has a lot of energy and is a fantastic team member - the customers love her and she is a pleasure to work with.'
