Following the success of their recent Zumba flash mob activity, staff from an opticians in Reading took partin a sports day event to help raise funds for Camp Mohawk.

On Thursday 21 August, staff from Specsavers Reading, donned their leotards and fitness shorts to undertake a series of specially created challenges including an egg and spoon race.

Jordan Casciello, optical assistant at the Reading Broad Street store, said: ‘The Reading team are always trying to find new ways to raise awareness and funds for charity in a fun and innovative manner. It was a fantastic event for staff, customers and local residents but, more importantly, it was for a great cause.

'We’re really proud to be doing our bit to support Camp Mohawk.’ Camp Mohawk is a multi-functional day centre for children with special needs. Throughout the year the centreprovides a range of activities to help encourage children to play, socialise and learn in a secure and caring environment.
