On the lookout for local charity partner
Stratford-upon-Avon Specsavers is looking for two local causes to support for the next 12 months.
Appeal for local charity nominations
The store is asking local charities, sports teams, community groups, individuals or schools to nominate themselves for the funding. Customers and visitors will then be asked to vote for the causes they would most like the store to work with.
The team are offering to dedicate 12 months of fundraising, pledging to raise £1,000 for the nominated causes.
A word from the store director
Paul Griffiths, store director, said: ‘We would like to encourage people to nominate a cause that they feel deserves our support. It could be for an individual who needs treatment for an illness, or for a local nursery that would like to renovate their playground.
This is a great opportunity for us to engage with the local community and help those who need it most. If you know of a cause in need, we’d be very grateful to hear from you.’
How to nominate a cause
To nominate a local cause, please pop in or write to Specsavers at 8 Wood Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 6JE or call 01789 262 606.
The closing date for nominations is Sunday 19 February 2017.
