The team at Specsavers in Nottingham remains open for essential care and delighted a customer this week with postal delivery of much needed glasses.
Staff at the Wheeler Gate store were cheered by a customer note thanking them for the service. The note read: ‘amazing service and many thanks.’
Store director, Nicole Thacker, said: ‘It is so special to get lovely feedback from our customers at this very difficult time for everyone.
‘We’ve stayed at work to help key workers with their eye care needs, and to take the pressure off the NHS by providing urgent eye health services in store.’
Specsavers' teams are classed as key workers to provide urgent and essential eye care to those who need it. This includes supporting other key workers who couldn’t function without their help and people who would come to harm without their health expertise, especially where the usual hospital services and NHS facilities are being prioritised for the fight against COVID-19.
