Nottingham contact lens optician wins national award
A contact lens optician from Specsavers in Nottingham has been named ‘Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year 2014’ at a prestigious national award ceremony.
Suzanne Czerwinski was awarded the title at an awards ceremony in Birmingham, held by the Association of Optometrists (AOP) to recognise the highest levels of achievement in optics.
Ms Czerwinski began her optical career as a part-time optical assistant at Specsavers in Plymouth while she was studying psychology at university. After relocating and rising through the ranks, she is now the only contact lens optician in a team of 80 at the Specsavers store in Nottingham.
‘I love what I do and enjoy making a difference for our customers, working as part of such a fantastic team also helps to drive my passion. Being recognised for such a prestigious award is, without doubt, the highlight of my career so far and I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me,’ says Ms Czerwinski.
Simon Dunn, store director, says: ‘We just want to say a huge well done to Suzanne, she works really hard for her customers and nothing is ever too much trouble. We’re incredibly proud to have the Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year as part of our team!’
