Norwich encourages students to set their sights on a career in optics
Specsavers in Norwich is informing local students on the benefits of a career in optics and optometry.
The team is always available to offer advice to young people considering going into the industry.
Store director at Specsavers Norwich, Robert Ellis says: ‘A career in optometry and optics is highly rewarding and varied.'
‘You could work in hospitals helping people with complicated eye related problems, be involved in pioneering research, go down the road of teaching or you may even want to own your own optometry business. It’s an incredibly challenging and well respected profession, offering a good living with flexible working hours.’
Entry requirements vary between universities but you will usually need high grades, typically a minimum of AAB at A-level, or equivalent, with at least two science subjects.
