Northampton raises money for the blind

The team at Specsavers in Northampton delighted customers with their home-baked goodies when they held a day of fundraising to raise money for the RNIB.

As well as the tempting table, the store ran a raffle during the day to win a pair of designer specs. The lucky winner was customer Mrs Jennifer Osbourne, who chose a pair from the brand new Cath Kidston range of specs, launched this month in store.

A worthwhile charity

‘We had a really great day fundraising for such a worthwhile charity,’ said assistant store manager, Kerrie Calcutt. ‘We managed to raise a whopping £165 altogether, thanks to the generosity of all our customers and passers-by that joined in with the activities in store.’

Store director Marinos Constantinides also offered his congratulations: ‘Well done to the team for a fantastic amount raised for the RNIB, and a huge thank you to the local community; you never fail to get behind fantastic causes and give generously to those in need.’
