Stores across the North East have been showing their support for good causes in the first half of 2019 – raising more than £10,000 to date.
From Northumberland to North Yorkshire, optical and audiology teams have been going the extra mile to give their backing to a range of charities.
From Specsavers’ charity partners Guide Dogs and the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to hand-selected regional charities, such as Hospice Care North Northumberland, an impressive £10,794.59 has been raised through their fundraising efforts.
Spencer Rippon, divisional relationship manager at Specsavers, said: ‘Fundraising across the North East stores has been strong in the first half of 2019.
‘It is an important aspect of our culture here at Specsavers and it’s great to see so many worthy causes benefiting as a result.
‘Whether it’s small a donation made in return for a free specs repair in-store or sponsorship for a team member undertaking a marathon or skydive, every penny raised counts.’
