No obstacle too big for March opticians
The March Specsavers team participated in the Milton Keynes Colour Obstacle Rush to raise funds for local charity FACET.
Colour for a cause
On Saturday, May 4 the Specsavers team took part in the Milton Keynes Colour Obstacle Rush in aide of local charity FACET. The store rallied the troops to conquer a 5k long obstacle course.
FACET provides a base for activities, training and community projects for adults with a range of disabilities. The activities on offer include sport, creative projects, academics, independent living skills and cooking. Students are also supported to develop their skills to become more independent in the local community.
Day to day lives we take for granted
Trevor Clark, store director, comments: ’We are all really passionate about FACET and the amazing work they do for adults with learning disabilities, helping them to live the day to day lives we take for granted. ’.
Getting fit for FACET
‘Our dispensing consultant Julie Smith and optical assistant Sadie Brammer are also very keen to get involved, and as a result are being sponsored for their weight loss efforts. We’ve been so inspired we’ll be matching whatever they raise for FACET’
Specsavers in March will be raising funds for FACET throughout the year. You can donate by clicking here
