All proceeds raised on the night will be donated directly to the Alzheimer’s Society.

For a good cause

Leigh Nelson, store director, Newtownards, says: ‘We have chosen to raise money for this particular organisation as many of us know someone affected by dementia. It is very sad for family and friends to watch a loved one deteriorate with this terrible disease. Therefore, it is important for us to try and help to support those within our local community in whatever way we can. We thought that organising a quiz night would be a fun and light-hearted way to raise money for a great cause. We would love to invite as many people as possible from the local community and surrounding areas to come along and support this event as there will be some excellent prizes on offer for those who come in first, second and third place.’

The Specsavers store will have charity collection buckets situated store from Monday, 12 May 2014, for any donations that the local community may wish to make ahead of the quiz night. To make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society you can call into the store and donate directly with the staff members.
