The Newtown opticians has responded to demand by increasing its capacity and investing £30,000 in an extra testing room.
The Broad Street store installed the extra room, taking its number of examination rooms to three, after seeing a rise in customer appointments.
The store was able to install the new 70 sq ft testing room within its existing floor plan when it underwent a refit to give it a more space-efficient layout. The room will be used for the store’s growing number of optometrists to carry out more eye tests and help keep customer waiting times down.
Director, David Dunlop, said: ‘We believe that the huge focus we’ve had over the past few years on delivering the best possible customer service has resulted in the increased demand we’re seeing right now.
‘Customer care is of the utmost importance to us and adding the extra testing room will not only help reduce customer waiting times, but will allow us to offer more local people the type of professional eye and hearing service that we pride ourselves on.’
