Newport opticians buzzing after fundraiser
Specsavers in Newport has raised over £600 for two great causes following a week of fundraising.
The store turned yellow and sold Earl Mountbatten Hospice's iconic sunflowers to raise money for the charity. The store also raised £395 for Beaulieu House Respite Care by embracing all things bees including dressing up and selling cuddly toys of the creatures.
Specsavers store director, Catherine Kidd says: ‘We had great fun dressing up during the week and managed to raise funds for both causes, which play such a vital role in the local community and we felt extremely privileged to support them. I would like to thank our customers for their continued generosity.'
