Newcastle opticians raises £700 for charity
Specsavers in Newcastle put its fundraising efforts into overdrive recently by raising more than £700 for Guide Dogs for the Blind during a customer event in store.
Delighted customer won the raffle
On the day customers who visited the store were treated to a bake sale, raffle and tombola. Jennifer Shaw walked away with a beautiful hamper after she won the raffle.
Rachael Aiken, store director at Specsavers in Newcastle, said: ‘We are delighted with the response from our fundraising event; all of our customers got behind our efforts and helped us raise such an impressive amount.
‘Guide Dogs does a great job in the area and we are really happy that we have been able to raise such a tremendous amount of money for the charity.
‘I would like to thank the team here in store for their efforts and of course, our customers, who as always were incredibly generous with their donations. I would also like to congratulate Mrs Shaw on winning her prize.’
