Specsavers Livingston has found a new home within The Centre shopping centre expanding the store’s optical and audiology capabilities.
Local residents will now benefit from six consulting eye test rooms at Specsavers as well as a new OCT (optical coherence tomography) machine which provides hospital-quality technology which can help detect treatable eye conditions much sooner.
The scan, which only takes a few seconds, allows an optician to look deeper into the eyes than ever before helping to detect ailments such as glaucoma up to four years in advance.
A dedicated contact lens area of the store has also been created, granting customers a space to ask specialist members of the team any enquiries or issues they may have regarding the use of lenses.
Listening to your hearing enquiries
The new location has also enabled the store to recruit a full audiology team, further improving audiology services which are now available seven days a week.
With this, the store can now cater for customers looking for any advice on their hearing, as well as perform an all-encompassing ear health check, designed to detect any issues with the ear canal which could affect hearing.
Specsavers Livingston will be hosting a celebration to mark the official opening of the store on Wednesday 29 January. Customers are welcome on the day to enjoy cupcakes and party food, as well as take part in competition to win a pair of designer frames.

OCT scans are available for £10 as part of an enhanced sight test and can be requested when the appointment is booked or when a customer arrives in store.
