Starting a new job can be nerve-wracking for anyone, but especially when starting during turbulent lockdown times. Samit Shah embraced his new role as Ophthalmic Director in Feltham Specsavers during this time.

Samit says: ‘It was a challenging time to join. I was able to get to know the business at its most difficult time and I was pleased to support our local community during lockdown with essential care when they needed the most reassurance.’

Safety in store

The store is now open for routine appointments, and safety precautions are being taken throughout to help the community feel safe, such as PPE, sanitisation and limiting numbers of customers in store.

Experience and enthusiasm

Samit brings 10 years of experience as an optometrist working with Specsavers and other opticians. This asset gives him a lead start in offering his customers the best clinical care.

He says: ‘I am enthusiastic and looking forward to growing the store and bringing back its vibrancy now that the town works are finishing. With my exposure working at various opticians across the UK, I would be able to deliver best practices and most importantly patient and staff support.

‘With Feltham Specsavers located in a key part of the high street, we know that we have a role to care for our diverse community from age to needs.’
