New Malden opticians collect charity specs
Optical experts in New Malden are renewing their call to the community to donate their used and unwanted specs for the Vision Aid Overseas Appeal.
A word from the store director
Ahmed Sivardeen, director of Specsavers in New Malden, said: ‘If you have a pair of unwanted specs at home gathering dust, why not pop them in our collection box in store and help those in need in developing countries.’
The proceeds from selling the reusable materials towards establishing vision centres, training healthcare workers and utilising the expertise of volunteers to give people desperately-needed eye examinations and treatment.
