Youngsters from Backwell Rainbow Guides are benefitting from a donation of hi-vis vests by Specsavers in Nailsea.

The initiative is focused on helping local children stand out on the roads, ensuring that they remain visible to motorists.

A word from the store director

‘We are very proud of our contribution to the safety of kids in the local area,’ said Nic Johns, store director. ‘The hi-vis vests mean that children are far more visible when out on school trips, increasing their safety significantly. It’s also is a great conversation starter about the importance of road safety in the community, and raises awareness amongst drivers.’

Specsavers works collaboratively with road safety charity, Brake to inspire communities to take action on road safety and raise awareness of life-saving messages.
