Morpeth opticians donates old specs
A Morpeth opticians has collected more than 1600 pairs of used and unwanted glasses from the community to help improve access to eyecare services in developing nations.
The team from Specsavers Morpeth encouraged local residents to donate to the scheme in aid of international sight charity Vision Aid Overseas.
A word from the store director
David Rose, store director of Specsavers in Morpeth, said: ‘We’re going to carry on the collection as we know many more people may still have an old or unwanted pair of specs at home. Why not pop into store and put them to good use by donating them to Vision Aid Overseas?’
