The three Specsavers stores in Medway love nothing more than working together to raise money for charity – and having a lot of fun together at the same time.
So the teams from Chatham, Gillingham and Strood jumped at the chance to take part in Pretty Muddy in aid of Cancer Research UK at Mote Park, Maidstone, at the beginning of July.
Fantastic fundraising total
Thanks to fundraising in store in advance of the event Chatham raised £68.62, Gillingham raised £58.54, and Strood raised £12.82.
With the money raised on their Justgiving page, the three Medway stores raised a phenomenal £2210 for the charity in total.
Close to our hearts
Craig Holland, store director in Chatham, Gillingham and Strood, said: ‘Cancer Research UK is a charity that is close to all of our hearts, as everyone knows someone who has been affected by the disease.
‘That is why the teams from all three stores were so keen to get involved in Pretty Muddy. They all started the day looking pristine in pink, but it would certainly be fair to say that they did not end up that way!’
