The new audiology director at Specsavers in Guildford was delighted to meet Mayor, Cllr Nigel Manning recently and discuss how the store's extended hearcare services will be meeting the needs of the local community.
Store becomes a hearcare hub
Guildford now has official hearcare hub status which means accessibility to its hearcare services have been extended further in response to customer demand.
Rachael, alongside her team, are now onhand seven days a week to offer advice, conduct hearing tests and provide counsel on which hearcare solutions are best suited to each individual customer.
Mayor also receives sight test
During the Mayor's visit and tour of the hearcare facilities, he also met with director, Andrew Lewis, who conducted an eye examination.
Andrew said: 'Our eyes tell us a lot about our overall health. We check for vision but also, the overall health of the eye. In some cases, we can pick up signs of high blood pressure and early indicators of diabetes.
'In rare situations, more serious conditions can be identified such as a brain tumour but thankfully, this are few and far between.'
Complete vision and hearcare services - all under one roof
Rachael is thrilled to become a director at a thriving business that has recently celebrated its 21st anniversary. She said: 'The store has a fantastic reputation and we are looking forward to emulating this with the audiology services we will be offering.
'Exciting things are afoot - we are undergoing training at the moment to offer ear wax removal and this will be launching shortly. Watch this space!'
