Specsavers Great Yarmouth held a family fun day to raise money for a great local cause earlier this month – and the Mayor, Councillor Michael Jeal, even popped along to join in with the fun.
The team at the Market Place store arranged a magician, balloon modelling, face painting, creative play, a bake sale and a great tombola, with all donations going to Yarmouth Greyhound Homefinders.
Great local cause
Yarmouth Greyhound Homefinders helps find loving homes for retired greyhounds after they have finished their racing career, and am amazing £300 was raised on the day.
And local volunteers Bill and Maureen Tilley and David Jones popped along to say hello and thank you with their dogs Raine, Blue and Hetty.
A word from the store directors
Store directors Martin McCormack, Richard Pugh and Ali Ganiwalla and new audiology director Michael Gunney said: ‘What a great day we had in store. It was an honour to host the Mayor, Councillor Michael Jeal, for the fun and frolics. We had our ear mascot out and about in the town to drum up some interest and families loved interacting with it.
‘Customers really enjoyed themselves and we managed to raise some money for a fantastic charity at the same time. I would like to thank the team for really throwing themselves into the activity and everyone who kindly donated on the day.’
