Manchester Arndale store gets a new manager
Specsavers in the Manchester Arndale Centre, has appointed Jay Healey as its new store manager. Jay, 26, will help to drive staff development at the store as well as inputting into its business growth plans.
A prefect fit for the role
Jay Healey, joins the team from Tesco, where she worked as a regional manager taking care of three stores. Before she worked at Tesco, she was at Specsavers, so is no stranger to the company.
Jay brings a wealth of retail and optical experience to the team and is delighted with her new role in the Manchester store.
Putting her experience to work
She said: ‘Tesco has taught me some great retail and business-building skills, there’s no doubt about that. However, before I worked at Tesco I was at Specsavers for five years, working at Allerton and Belle-Vale stores, where I gained plenty of optical and clinical experience.
It’s really nice to come back to Specsavers as it’s great at supporting and developing its staff. I’m ready to really get to know the team, take on new challenges and see how I can support the directors with the store's business plans.’
A welcome addition to the team
Director Peter Dodd comments: ‘Jay is a welcome addition to the team and is already blending in well here. Her excellent retail and optical experience will be a real benefit to the store. It’s great to have her on board!'
