Customers visiting Specsavers in Ludlow were greeted by a sea of pink on Friday 24 October as part of a fundraising day for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Staff at the store wore pink wigs and t-shirts while customers were invited to take part in a ‘guess the name of the teddy’ competition in return for a voluntary donation to Breast Cancer Care.

‘Sadly, breast cancer is the most common form of the disease in the UK. To have a whole month dedicated to raising money and awareness is something we were keen to get involved with,’ said Nicola Aubrey, store director.

Breast Cancer Care is the only UK-wide support charity helping the thousands of women waking up to the harsh reality of breast cancer every day. Specialist nurses, local services and an emotional support network mean there’s always someone to turn to for information and support.
