The team at Ludlow stepped forward for charity and completed 173 miles on a cross-trainer between Saturday 24 – Saturday 31 August, helping to raise £300 for the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Staff from the store took it in turns to ride the bike, racking up an average of 25 miles a day – covering the same total distance from the store to the charity’s head office in Kent.
A word from the store director
‘We’re absolutely delighted to have raised so much money,’ said store director, Nicola Aubrey. ‘Everyone put in a huge amount of effort and our customers really got behind us as well. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated. The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a fantastic organisation which helps to support smaller cancer charities that often operate on a shoestring.’
The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant-making trust with a mission to provide financial support to charities which relieve the needs of people who have been affected by breast cancer. It also helps to fund projects that aim to advance the understanding of the disease, and its early detection and treatment.
