Lucky Bootle specs wearer wins £500 in national draw
A lucky Specsavers customer from Teeside has won a £500 prize as a result of filling in a customer service survey after visiting Specsavers in Bootle. Mr Jenkins, who works for the NHS, was in the Bootle area for work and to visit his partner Elizabeth who lives in Seaforth.
Mr Jenkins said: ‘Elizabeth recommended Specsavers in Bootle’s Strand Shopping Centre to me as she’s been a customer there for years.
During my visit, I had an eye test and bought a new pair of frames. I was impressed with it in there. There is a vast selection of frames and the service is spot on.’
Customer service survey
Mr Jenkins was told that all of Specsavers customers across its nationwide network of 700 stores are sent a customer service survey after an appointment at the store, which gives them the opportunity to feedback on their experience. Those that take part in the survey are automatically entered into a draw and could win a large cash prize.
Mr Jenkins continued: ‘When I returned home later that day I filled in the survey, which isn’t like me. I don’t usually bother with this sort of thing but as I had such a good experience and the staff were very professional and helpful, I felt it was important to respond to the survey and give praise where it was due.’
A lucky winner
He said: ‘I just couldn’t believe it when I got an email a few weeks later to say I had won the £500 prize. I’ve never won anything like this before so it was a real shock. As my partner recommended the store, I felt it was only right she was rewarded – so I bought her a top of the range fridge freezer as I knew it was something she really wanted.
She’s had her eye on it for a while, so I’m delighted I’ve been able to provide her with her perfect gift. Now I’m a happy man and she’s a very happy lady – all thanks to Specsavers!’
