The team at Long Eaton Specsavers are rallying round to support those who need urgent or essential eye care, including key workers.
Specsavers on the High Streethas suspended all routine testing but is still open for vital eye and hear care for those who need it during the COVID-19 pandemic. Staff have already helped several local NHS workers with replacement specs or suppling contact lenses, while the optometrists have also seen a range of urgent eye care cases.

‘I couldn’t be prouder to work with such a fantastic team,’ says Specsavers Long Eaton store director, Amisha Parmar. ‘We are very grateful that we are able to help our community and key workers during this very difficult time and, despite the challenges, are here and ready to help hopefully alleviating some of the pressure on the NHS.’
Over the last week, Amisha and her team have advised and referred ontwo sight saving cases - a gentleman who was suffering from a retinal tear and a young mum suffering from papilledema (optic disk swelling).
