Specsavers Sevenoaks swapped their retinoscopes for their golf clubs to raise vital funds for a cancer charity.

Golf day

Staff from Specsavers hosted a charity golf day on Friday 22 May at Woodlands Manor Golf Club raising £530 for Orchid Fighting Male Cancer charity. As well as staff, local residents took part in the day.

Testicular cancer

The charity works to save men’s lives from testicular, prostrate and penile cancers through pioneering research and promoting awareness.

Gratitude

Maxine Chakowa, Specsavers Sevenoaks store director said: ‘I would like to thank staff and customers alike for making the day such a success and for raising such a sizeable amount for Orchid. A couple of the guys in store fancied themselves as the next Rory Mcllroy or Tiger Woods but unfortunately this wasn’t reflected by their performance on the day. We all had great fun anyway.’
