Inverness optical assistants Andrea Farrelly and Cara McCubbin recently visited Smithton Primary School to spread a ‘be seen to be safe’ message.

As part of a continued commitment by Specsavers to help children be safe when out and about in the community, the high street opticians donated 150 high-visibility vests to the local school.

A word from the store director

Andy Carr, store director of Specsavers in Inverness, says: ‘Although the better weather is starting and the mornings and nights are getting brighter it is still important for youngsters to stand out.

‘We love sending representatives of the store out in the local community and it was great for Andrea and Cara to visit the school as Andrea is a former pupil and Cara has a son who attends Smithton.

‘We hope that the Smithton Primary pupils will sport their vests proudly around the town when walking to and from school.’
