Opticians across Edinburgh have raised more than £700 for charities and good causes in the past year.
Specsavers stores across Edinburgh held a number of fundraising events, with proceeds donated to charities including Guide Dogs Scotland and Blind Veterans UK.
Highlights included a £395 donation to Guide Dogs Scotland after the Shandwick Place store encouraged staff and customers to make donations.
Staff at the North Bridge store also managed to raise almost £100 worth of donations for the Blind Veterans UK charity.
Fantastic figure raised
Jennifer Ballantyne, store director at Specsavers North Bridge, said: ‘All of the stores across the capital are very pleased to have raised such a fantastic figure for so many worthy charities.
‘We really stepped up our fundraising efforts and staff and customers thoroughly enjoyed the fundraisers.
‘We hope to continue to support more great charities and organisations over the rest of the year.’
