Customers and staff raised over £500 for Breast Cancer Care

Generous customers and staff at Specsavers in Largs raised more than £500 for Breast Cancer Care in a fun-filled fundraiser.

The store in Aitken Street hosted a ‘Pink Day’ to generate funds for the charity and to raise awareness of its vital work. Staff were decked out in pink clothes and customers got the chance to win prizes in a raffle and a sweepstake.

The store also welcomed donations for glasses MOTs and repairs. The activities raised a grand total of £517 for the charity.

Store director Chris Leatham said: ‘Breast Cancer Care is a charity that means something to everyone who works in the store and it’s very important to us to raise money for such a worthy cause.

‘We would like to thank all of our customers who donated and staff who worked so hard to make it such a great event. We’re very pleased with the amount raised.’
