Staff at Specsavers in Leatherhead took to the kitchen to bake up a feast for its customers to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Leatherhead locals were treated to cakes and biscuits at Specsavers with staff donning their aprons in support of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning national event.

The store sold the treats on 26 September and raised £162 for the worthwhile cause.

Pick up a cuppa at your eye test

Glen MacGregor, store director at Specsavers in Leatherhead, says: ‘It was great to see so many local faces in the store on the day.

‘Customers were able to attend their eye examination and pick up a cuppa and cake afterwards, all in the knowledge that it was for a great cause.

‘It’s so important for staff to get involved in these sorts of things, and do their bit for a special cause on behalf of Specsavers. A special mention should go to Helle Lancaster, our contact lens supervisor, who brought the whole day together.’
