The Bathgate store hosted a visit from future ‘sight-seers’ from a local nursery, who were learning about the role of an optometrist and the importance of sight tests.

Children from the Early Years Nursery group in Bathgate received a behind-the-scenes look in store, meeting all of the staff members and finding out more about what they do in their day-to-day job.

The children also learned about how eye tests are carried out and also about the importance of eye tests and keeping their sight healthy.

Future sight-seers

Morna Scott, store director at Specsavers in Bathgate, says: ‘It was a delight to see so many of the children from Early Years Nursery pay us a visit to learn more about what we do here at Specsavers.

‘They were genuinely curious and were always asking questions during their visit. We hope they learned more about what we do and the important role we play within the community.’

All children visiting were also given a Specsavers hi-vis jacket, which will help to make sure that children are kept safe and seen during darker, winter nights.
