Specsavers in Hove is reaching out to customers and local communities in aid of the Guide Dogs Week 2015 theme ‘Let’s Glow’, by donning neon to show their support for the hundreds of people living with sight loss in the local community.
Guide Dogs Week
The store will be having a designated fundraising day during Guide Dogs Week (3-11 October) on Thursday 8 October. Store staff will be dressing up in bright clothes and taking part in an array of charity challenges.
The store will also receive a special visit from some four-legged friends who will be demonstrating the great work they do. To drive donations the store will also be providing a delicious array of cupcakes and other delicious treats.
Charles Forshaw, store director of Specsavers Hove says: ‘Specsavers has been a proud supporter of Guide Dogs for more than 10 years. Thanks to the support of our customers we have raised a nationwide total of £270,000 in the past four years, which has funded 25 guide dog puppies. We’d like to encourage old and new faces to join us in-store for our fundraising day.’
Specsavers customers can also get involved in Guide Dogs Week by visiting www.guidedogs.org.uk/letsglow, or can simply support us by texting FREEDOM to 70007 to donate just £3, or even pop in to a store to pick up a glow in the dark pin badge for £1.
