Specsavers in Lichfield held a bake sale on Saturday (27 June) to raise money for Blind Veterans UK and donated £1 for every sight test carried out throughout Armed Forces Week (22 to 28 June) raising £674.50 for the charity!

Donning 1940s dress

Specsavers Lichfield helped celebrate 100 years of the charity’s work helping blind ex-Service men and women, by encouraging donations in the store. As well as dedicating £1 per sight test, staff dressed up in 1940s gear for the day as they serve up an array of tasty treats, in return for donations.

The charity is currently supporting more than 4,000 blind veterans and with our help, they hope to reach their target of recruiting 700 new beneficiaries in the coming year.’
