With winter well underway, Specsavers in Lewes is raising awareness among the local community about the importance of regular eye tests.

Shorter days

As the nights are getting darker and the days are getting shorter, the poor light conditions can make us more susceptible to eyestrain therefore winter is the ideal time for you to get your eyes tested.

Two years

Specsavers Lewes store director Patricia Lofting comments: ‘A sight test is a vital check on the health of the eyes and includes the detection of eye conditions. Many of these, if found early, can be treated successfully, avoiding potential sight loss.

‘A sight test can also detect other health conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes. it is recommended that you have a sight test every two years’.
