Lerwick urge locals to look after their eyes
The team at Specsavers Lerwick is encouraging locals to check their prescription is up to date as Autumn begins.
Lerwick eyecare specialists hope that people will take care of their eyes and have regular health checks in order to stay safe while driving during the darker nights this season.
A word of advice from the store director
Thomas Bruin, store director at Specsavers Lerwick, said: ‘It’s important to look after your eyes all year round and ahead of the darker nights is the ideal time to check your prescription is up to date.
‘We encourage customers to have their eyes checked at least once every two years, as eye tests can not only detect changes in your vision but also underlying health issues. Keeping up to date with health checks is so important, and eye tests are a vital part of this.
