Leon eyes up new role
Visitors to Specsavers in Ashby will be greeted by a new face when the store welcomes a new director in September.
Having worked with Specsavers for 25 years – initially as a work experience student – Leon Wilson will now lead the team and has his sights set on delivering excellent customer service. In his new role as store director, Leon will work alongside existing directors Rajesh Patel and Pratish Bhundia, who are familiar faces having been with the store since 2010.
A fantastic team
Looking forward to his new challenge, Leon said: ‘We’ve got a fantastic team here in Ashby and they’ve built a fantastic reputation since opening the doors six years ago. I’m really looking forward to meeting our customers and building relationships within the local community to ensure eye and hearing care is accessible for all.’
Leon gained his degree in optometry from Birmingham’s Aston University, and most recently spent 15 years as a senior optometrist at the award-winning Sutton-in-Ashfield store before joining the team in Ashby.
‘I’m incredibly proud to have remained part of the Specsavers family for more than two decades and to be able to put all those years of experience to good use in my new role is a fantastic opportunity which I’m really looking forward to.’
The eight-strong team offers expert support to keep your vision and hearing in check and with appointments available seven days a week, popping in for a sight test or free hearing check is convenient and hassle-free.
