Leicester’s novel charity fundraiser
Specsavers in Leicester will be holding a second-hand book sale between 19 - 26 October in a bid to raise money for LOROS Hospice in Leicester.
A book sale with a difference
Locals are invited to browse the wide range of titles kindly donated by the team. All money raised will be donated to the LOROS Hospice in Leicester, which provides free, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients.
What the charity says
Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS Hospice, said: ‘We care for 2,500 patients every year across Leicestershire and Rutland, and it costs us £7.5 million annually to deliver our services. We wish the Specsavers team good luck with their fundraising.’
A message from the store director
Stephen Bell, store director at Specsavers in Leicester, said: ‘LOROS Hospice is an incredible charity that is a rock of support for many people in the area. We really want to make this book sale a success and raise as much money as possible. We can’t do it without you, so please pop in and treat yourself to a new page-turner.’
