Customers at the Leckwith store are enjoying sweet surprises this month as staff lay on home-baked goodies to celebrate the store’s second birthday.
The opticians, which opened at the Capital Shopping Park on 9 February 2015, had a birthday cake brought in especially for the big day, with store manager Gemma Watkins and assistant manager Laura Day baking a variety of treats for staff and customers to enjoy.
The store is continuing its birthday celebrations throughout the month, holding cake sales and a raffle to raise money for the South Wales children’s hospice Tŷ Hafan.
Among the raffle prizes is a signed Cardiff Blues shirt.
James Deavall, director of Specsavers in Cardiff, said: ‘Being able to bring our optical and hearcare services to west Cardiff was a key ambition for us more than two years ago, and our drive to provide the best service has never faltered.
‘I’d like to thank all of the team in Leckwith for their dedication and commitment to providing a customer-focussed approach, with state-of-the-art technology. I look forward to what the future will bring for this wonderful store and its team.’
