Last chance for Croydon specs wearers
Teacher, Ingrid Miller from Croydon has worn glasses since she was in her 20s and always viewed spectacles as an extension of her wardrobe.
Ingrid used this incentive to enter the Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition last year and was thrilled when she was awarded the regional finalist title in 2016!
As part of her prize Ingrid attended her local store in Croydon for a photo shoot and prize presentation, including a £150 designer eye wear voucher.
Following in Ebony’s footsteps
To follow in Ingrid’s footsteps and be in with the chance of winning £10,000 cash and £1,000 worth of new glasses, simply wear your glasses with pride and share your best selfie here.
You could also be mingling with celebrities at the star-studded awards evening in October.
In aid of a good cause
Now in its 22nd year, the competition raises valuable funds for anti-bullying charity Kidscape, which has totalled £400,000 to date.
Store director, Bill Pennell said: ‘I’d like to encourage more of our specs wearing customers to log on and upload a selfie! It would be great if we could have another finalist or even winner from Croydon this year!’
The competition has five age categories – 16-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-59 and over 60s plus a Facebook favourite voted for by the public. A winner from each category will win a VIP makeover and attend the awards ceremony in London in October.
