Specsavers in Larkhall has received national recognition for its customer service standards.
The Union Street store received the Overall Excellence Award at the Specsavers Awards for Excellence, held at the ICC in Birmingham.
The Larkhall store was the only Scottish store across the UK and the Republic of Ireland to be nominated in any of the awards categories.
The Excellence honour recognises success in the Specsavers Customer Service Index survey (which collates positive feedback from customers) and also monitors involvement in fundraising activities, success in audiology, success in domiciliary service and corporate partnerships.
Specsavers Larkhall store director Jill Keenan, said: ‘This is a tremendous achievement for everyone involved with the store.
‘We have only been open for just over a year, so this recognition so soon into the life of the store is a testament to the hard work we’ve all put in.
‘I’ve been with Specsavers for 13 years and this is the first time I’ve been involved with a store that’s received a nomination.
'The awards are highly contested so to receive a nomination in any category is a great achievement.
'We’re absolutely thrilled and will use our success to grow and develop our business for many years to come.’
