Largs bowls club over with support
Specsavers in Largs sponsored a high profile community event at Fairlie Bowling Club.
The store was headline sponsor of the club’s Open Fours Day tournament 2015.
Specsavers donated £150 to the club in support of the event – a fun day which was open to anyone interested in joining the club.
Gift for bowlers
A total of 50 players took part in the tournament and the winners were Gary Renton, Carol Munro, Richard Lewis and Jaclyn Johnstone. Each received a voucher for free pair of glasses up to the value of £125 from Specsavers.
The store has been partnering with Fairlie Bowling Club for the last four years.
Specsavers Largs store director Chris Leatham was there on the day to present the eyewear vouchers to winners and to meet members, and he also took part in the tournament.
He said: ‘We were delighted to link up with Fairlie Bowling Club again to sponsor the Open Fours Day tournament.
‘Supporting local causes and the community as a whole is something that’s very important to us and we were very excited to be involved.’
Big thank you
Fairlie Bowling Club treasurer, Neil Renton said: ‘The management committee and members of the club would like to thank Specsavers for its support of the tournament.
‘It’s fantastic to have the support of such an important local organisation and it was very kind of Chris to come along to meet members on the day.’
