Specsavers in Lakeside is gearing up for two special summer fun days in August in support of children’s literacy.
Chlidren's activity days
The store is hosting two vision screening events on 9 August and 23 August in conjunction with the children’s activity days during intu Lakeside’s Kids Club’s summer initiative, in partnership with the National Literacy Trust.
Free vision check
During the free fun days, little ones visiting intu Lakeside will have the chance to take part in interactive activities and get their very own goody bags. Families can also visit the Specsavers Kiosk (which will be located outside Primark on Level 2) and have a free vision check, as well as getting a 25 per cent discount voucher to use at Specsavers Lakeside.
Jay Visrolia, director at Specsavers in Lakeside, says: 'As eyecare specialists, we know how important eye health is in supporting children’s literacy. We look forward to welcoming Thurrock families to the shopping centre for two days of fun and learning.’
Survey for parents
Jay and his team will also be running a survey for parents during the events, which will take place from 9am-9pm at the kiosk.
